Saturday, Feb 23, two members of the Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society will lead a guided tour of old Fort Bayard and open the Fort Bayard Museum for visitors. Kathy Hill who lived at Fort Bayard during the Veteran's Administration years, and Richard Mitchem, military historian, will lead the 2 hour walking tour with museum time at the end. All ages are welcome and well behaved dogs on leashes, too! Dress for the weather and moderate walking. Cost is $3 per person or $10 for immediate families.
