Annie Vasquez Alba, 66, a former Deming resident, passed away Sunday September 8, 2013 at her home in Alamogordo.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 4 o'clock at La Fonda Restaurant in Deming. No services are planned and cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
She was born July 27, 1947 in Deming to Maria Diaz and Santiago Vasquez. Annie attended Deming Public Schools and had worked at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo from which she retired last year.
She is survived by 2 sons, Michael Alba of Deming, Arnie Alba of Moab, Utah; 2 daughters, Lisa Jasso of Silver City, Mary Margaret Cedillo of Alamogordo; 3 sisters, Alicia Rios of Alamogordo, Lilia Narvaez of Phoenix, AZ, Gloria Lucero of Central; 15 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hector Alba in 2012 and a grandchild, Christina Jasso.
Memorials in her name may be made at First New Mexico Bank.
