Two Silver City women were honored by the Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest in the 2016 class of 10 recipients, most of whom were from Las Cruces.
Rep. Dianne Hamilton and Priscilla Lucero, Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments executive director, were among those honored on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 at the Hotel Encanto in Las Cruces.
The featured speaker was Tammara Anderson, vice president of business development at Spaceport America. She is an engineer, who spent much of her career in Switzerland, England and the tiny county of Lichtenstein, as well as in portions of Asia.
