At the internship showcase held twice a year at the Aldo Leopold Charter School, students who developed posters about their internships talked to friends, family members and the community about their projects.
Virginia Burgess, an avid bicyclist, interned at Gila Hike & Bike. "It was a joy working with Chris (Schlabach) and other folks at Gila Hike & Bike. I got to build new bikes, sell bikes, and fix a lot of flat tires. Over a weekend, I might fix nine or 10."

I learned a lot of new shop skills, so I can help the Silver High School team that I'm on, by checking their bikes to make sure everything is working."
Lincoln Herrera-Brandsberg interned with David Boyce on information technology for ALCS. "Computers constantly need updating. I also worked getting rid of viruses. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot."
Olivia Moritz did an internship at La Clinica Health and Birth Center for Women and Children. "Day-to-day I was checking in patients, taking their vitals, which are really important. I was mentored by Shauna McCosh. I potentially want to be a mid-wife or birthing assistant. You have to be committed and willing to drop everything. You have to give everything to the patient."
