Narrative:

On Monday, November 28, 2011 at 8:55 AM officers of the Silver City Police Department responded to a Burglary and Larceny complaint at the Copper Quail Gallery, 211 N. Texas St.

Upon the officer's arrival, they were informed by the reporting person that she had arrived at the store at 8:55 AM to pick up some inventory sheets. When she entered the store, she observed several jewelry cases sitting on the floor and the back door to the gallery was open.

The store clerk informed officers that he closed the business at 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2011 and that every thing was fine at that time. The store clerk informed the officers that 136 pieces of various types of jewelry was taken. The amount of the jewelry taken is $9590.00.

The store clerk also reported to the officers that a male subject had come in the day before to sell some stones and that he showed interest in a ring that was for sell, but he didn't have the money to buy the ring. The store clerk also stated that he left to get money from the ATM and that he would return. The male subject never returned to the store.
