Stout K-Kids Win Sing-Off at Gazebo Lighting!

G.W. Stout Elementary School K-Kids won the Christmas carol "sing-off" at Friday night's gazebo-lighting ceremony at Gough Park.

The Silver City Kiwanis Club, supported by the Silver City Public Works Department, Silver City Fire Department, Ace Hardware and the Silver City Main Street Project, organized this second annual lighting ceremony at the gazebo.  Western Bank provided $200 to the winning choral group: $100 to be used to support the group's activities, and $100 to donate to the local charity of their choice.

Musical performances were recorded live by the Gila/Mimbres Community Radio and broadcast as part of their web streaming.  Those who performed in the sing-off for the gazebo-lighting were the Silver High Key Club, Cobre High Key Club, Stout Elementary K-Kids, La Plata Middle School Builders Club, CKI WNMU and Millie's Nursing Home.
