Black Range Ranger District to hire a four-person seasonal Veteran Crew
Truth or Consequences, NM, January 31, 2018—For Immediate Release. The Gila National Forest, Black Range Ranger District is hiring a four-person Veterans crew for the upcoming wildland fire season. This crew would complete fuels-related work and prescribed burning.
The requirements for this position are:
· Must have at least three (3) years of military service
· Must have an Honorable Discharge
· Must have a current resume
· Must have access to or being in possession of the DD-214
· Must be able to pass the arduous Work Capacity Test (aka pack test) – which is completion of the walking test in under 45 minutes carrying a 45 pound pack
The duty station for this assignment would be Winston, New Mexico with a start date of March 30.
