Silver City MainStreet will hold the next Community Collaboration Meeting on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 9 am at the Murray Ryan Visitor Center located at 201 North Hudson Street. The Community Speaker will be Nicole Karem, Gateway Community Coordinator for the Continental Divide Trail Coalition.
The Continental Divide Trail Coalition is the non-profit advocacy group for the Continental Divide Trail and works to complete, promote, and protect it. An important aspect of this is the Gateway Community Program. Through this program, Karem will discuss how she and the CDTC staff work with our Gateway Communities to utilize their proximity to the Trail for economic development.
Silver City MainStreet works to make our downtown more vibrant through creative placemaking, streetscape improvements, encouraging artisan live/work spaces, wayfinding, infrastructure improvements, business education, and fostering the creative economy through monthly Community Collaboration Meetings.
At these meetings we cooperate by sharing best practices, coordinating events, and supporting each other. This is a great place to share information about your events and see who is doing a project your organization can collaborate with. Remember to put your event on the calendar at visitsilvercity.org!
The meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 9 am at the Murray Ryan Visitor Center, unless otherwise noted.
