Cheryl Howard is a Board Member of the Mimbres Valley Health Action League. Howard’s topic will be: MVHAL--What We Do and Unmet Needs.
Howard worked at the UNM Medical School in Albuquerque for 21 years, and was a professor of Sociology at UTEP for 21 years. She retired in 2010 and has been living in Mimbres, NM since 2012. Howard is new to the board of MVHAL.
There is a change of venue for the month of August. The Rotary meetings will meet at Q’s Southern Bistro (use the entrance on the left.) The meeting is from 12 noon to 1 p.m., but the room is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meetings are open to the public; lunch can be ordered from the menu. If paying with a credit card, be aware that there is an automatic 3.5% extra charge to help defray charges from the credit card company, and an automatic 18% gratuity.
