The Grant Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking private landowners interested in participating in a noxious weed management project. The project will include weed identification, mapping, herbicide and/or mechanical treatment, evaluation, and periodic monitoring. Matching funds may be required by the landowner. To be eligible to participate the following criteria must be met:
- Property must be located within Grant and Hidalgo Counties (priority will be given to private lands adjacent to or near forested areas)
- Class A, Class B, or Class C noxious weeds must be present (priority species for treatment are: African rue, yellow starthistle, yellow bluestem, bull thistle, spiny cocklebur, Russian olive, Siberian elm, and Tree of Heaven)
