I-25/Missouri Bridge - Las Cruces
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with FNF Construction (Contractor) continues work along I-25 between Lohman Avenue (Exit 3) and University Avenue (Exit 1), along with the city roadway enhancements of Missouri Avenue and intersections of Triviz Drive and Don Roser Drive.

Construction activities are still very active along the City of Las Cruces intersections of Missouri Avenue/Don Roser Drive and Missouri Avenue/Triviz Drive. The traveling public will continue to have intermittent lane restrictions on Missouri Avenue within the work zone for both east and west bound lanes and shoulders.

Median and shoulder work on I-25 between Lohman Avenue and University Avenue is active; please be cautious of workers in the area. Median work will continue throughout the week, along with miscellaneous items, please be cautious. Northbound and southbound lanes will experience less restrictions.

Missouri Avenue will have full road night closures scheduled next week.

  • Monday, May 2nd, 8:00 pm to 6:00am full Missouri Road Closure along with temporary intersection closures. Bixby Electric removing temporary poles, adjusting fixtures, and removing temporary wiring. San Bar performing final striping on city streets.
  • Tuesday, May 3rd, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am full Missouri Road Closure along with temporary intersection closures. Bixby Electric removing temporary poles and wiring.
  • There will be no public meeting for the month of April, please contact the NMDOT with any concerns regarding the project.

I-10/Union Bridge-University - Las Cruces
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with La Calerita Construction (Contractor) continues with work at the I-10/Ramp E Bridge and the I-10/Union Avenue Bridge in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The first phase (westbound lanes) construction has been completed and the second phase (eastbound lanes) construction is underway.

The west bound traffic is reduced to one lane and is currently using the west bound driving lane. The east bound traffic is reduced to one lane and detoured through the west bound passing lane during construction of the east bound bridges. All west bound ramps will remain open during this construction phase.

During construction of this phase:

  • The east bound Conway off ramp will remain open to traffic.
  • The east bound Conway on ramp will be closed.

Construction of Ramp E Bridge will continue. Eastbound access to I-10 at Valley Drive and University Avenue is closed. Watch for equipment working on Union Avenue and I-10. Speed restrictions remain in effect through the I-10 construction zone. Please obey the traffic signs and drive safely.

I-10 - Mile Markers 146.00 to 164.45 (Texas State Line)
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be performing pavement rehabilitation operations along the I-10 corridor between Las Cruces and the Texas State Line. The Contractor will continue to perform milling & inlay operations headed in the eastbound direction throughout the week. In order to avoid delays for motorists, the Contractor's working hours will be approximately 6:00 pm to 6:00 am nightly. I-10 will be reduced to a single lane during operations and motorists are advised to use caution and reduce speed while nearing and passing through the work zone. Motorists are advised to expect intermittent eastbound on/off-ramp closures at the Anthony, NM Exit (Exit 162) between Sunday, May 1st through Tuesday, May 3rd during the Contractor's working hours.

I-10 - Mile Markers 133.00 to Avenida De Mesilla Exit
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be performing pavement rehabilitation operations along the I-10 corridor within Las Cruces. The Contractor will resume paving operations headed in both the eastbound and westbound directions on Thursday, May 5th. I-10 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction during operations and motorists are advised to use caution and reduce speed while nearing and passing through the work zone.

NM 478 - Mile Markers 0 to 4
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Paveover Inc. (Contractor) will be performing hot in-lace asphalt recycling from mile marker 0.0 to mile marker 4 on NM 478. Drivers will encounter Pilot Car operation on both the northbound and southbound lanes from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

New Mexico 52/New Mexico 59 - Chip Seal
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Blue Collar Construction (Contractor) will be working on NM 59 from mile markers 0.00 to 32.00 and New Mexico 52 from mile markers 0.00 to 36.00, where motorist will encounter lane restrictions. Traffic control with flagging operations. Please use caution as there is loose rock and slick roadway.

I-25 Mile Markers 51 to 75
The New Mexico Department of Transportation and J-H Supply (Contractor) will begin grade work with post and cable barrier installation to follow in the median. There will be moving lane closures on this project. Work is expected to last until end of June 2016. Please use caution in the area.

NM 1 Mile Marker 1 to 21.2, Exit 100 to Exit 115
The New Mexico Department of Transportation and G. Sandoval Construction (Contractor) will be performing shoulder work near mile post 21. This work is expected until May 2016. Please use caution.

US 60 Mile Marker 136
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with FNF Construction (Contractor) will be reconstructing the bridge US 60, mile marker 136. There will be a detour around the work but loads will be restricted once detour is open. This work will be complete in September 2016.

NM 90/Hudson Street Bridge - Silver City
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Interstate Highway Construction (IHC) (Contractor) has OPENED all access over the NM 90/Hudson Street Bridge There is a one lane closure to repair concrete wall barrier. The NMDOT and IHC will continue with miscellaneous construction along the route. The San Vicente Trail will be closed at Corbin Street along with South Mill Road, and under the bridge.

I-10 Lordsburg - Mile Marker 29
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with James Hamilton Construction (Contractor) will be performing bridge repair work and partial reconstruction of the roadway. Traffic has been detoured to the west bound lanes while the eastbound bridge and roadway are being constructed. The contractor is placing the base course and preparing for paving operations which will begin on April 22nd. The traffic will be switched over to the eastbound lanes by April 30th.

Frontage Road 1019 (traveling West)
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin chip sealing at Frontage Road 1019, mile markers 0 to 14, west of Deming, NM on Monday, May 9th. There will be flagging and pilot car operation.

I-25, Mile Marker 83, T or C, NM
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Hasse Contracting (Contractor) will be working on Monday, May 2nd, I-25 at mile marker 83, northbound driving lane closure. On Tuesday, May 3rd, mile post 83, northbound passing lane will have a lane closure for deck sealing.

NM 11 at MP 12.5
The New Mexico Department of Transportation and Hasse Contracting will be working on NM 11, mile post 12.5. The southbound lane will be closed on Wednesday, May 4th and the north bound lane will be closed on Thursday, May 5th with flagging operations.

Las Cruces Projects - City of Las Cruces

Alameda Avenue
From Mountain Avenue to Las Cruces Avenue will be detoured in the south bound direction to through traffic. North bound traffic will be reduced to one lane from Court Avenue and Mountain Avenue. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Crescent Drive
From Apollo Drive to Farney Lane will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

De Vargas Avenue
From Reynolds Drive to Cortez Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Detours will be in place for the closure. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Elks Drive
From Rio Bravo Way to East Engler Road will have intermittent lane closures. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

El Paseo Road
At the intersection of S. Main Street there will be intermittent lane and sidewalk closures. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

El Paseo Road
At the intersection of Boutz Road there will be intermittent lane and sidewalk closures. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Jill Circle
From O'Hair Drive to cul-de-sac will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Macaw Circle
From O'Hair Drive to cul-de-sac will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Mary Circle
From Salopek Blvd to cul-de-sac will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Montezuma Avenue
From Reynolds Drive to Cortez Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Detours will be in place for the closure. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

O'Hair Drive
From Salopek Blvd to Oleta Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Pettes Blvd.
From Stewards Drive to Mesa Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Detours will be in place for the closure. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Rising Sun Road
Open to through traffic.

Salopek Blvd
From Stern Drive to Oleta Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Sixth Street
From Wilson Avenue to Dead End North will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

W. Hadley Avenue
From N. Armijo Street to Water Street will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.
