As part of New Mexico State University’s Research and Creativity Week Nov. 10-13, award-winning singer and songwriter Judy Collins will give a musical performance on Zoom at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10. The presentation also will include an interview moderated by Jim Shearer, music professor.

Collins, who began her music career at 13 as a piano prodigy, has a 55-album body of work that includes several top 10 hits and gold- and platinum-selling albums. She released her debut album “A Maid of Constant Sorrow” in 1961.

Collins rendition of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” from her 1967 album, “Wildflowers,” is in the Grammy Hall of Fame. Her version of Stephen Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns” from the Broadway musical “A Little Night Music” won Song of the Year at the 1975 Grammy Awards.
