The competition received more than 38 applications this year, reflecting the vibrant and dynamic startup ecosystem in New Mexico.

The 2023 Scale Up NM Pitch Competition promises to be an exciting event for both participants and spectators. Startups will have the opportunity to present their pitches to a panel of esteemed judges, venture capitalists and angel investors. The competition will culminate in the selection of the three best presentations, which will receive a cash prize, along with valuable mentorship and networking opportunities.

“We are thrilled to have such an impressive lineup of startups for this year's competition,” said Dana Catron, deputy director at Arrowhead Center. “These entrepreneurs are at the forefront of innovation, and we believe that the Scale Up NM Pitch Competition will provide them with the exposure and support they need to take their ventures to the next level”.

The competition is one component within Scale Up NM, a comprehensive set of startup support initiatives designed to assist businesses involved in the early-stage development of technology. The program extends and enhances existing Arrowhead Center endeavors, including sprint business accelerators, Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer support and commercialization assistance.
