Interstates:
Date St. Business Loop Roundabout Project, T or C CN1101231/32
La Calerita LLC. (Contractor)continues construction on roundabout 3, the roundabout at NM 181 will open and will be used for all NM 181 and Date Street traffic. Crews will build new turnouts during nighttime work hours. The following traffic impacts will be in place: Southbound N. Date Street will be reduced to one lane north and south of the new NM 181 roundabout. NM 181 will be closed at N. Date Street; traffic can access NM 181 by using the new roundabout. Crews will also be working on the shoulders on the west sides of the roundabouts at New School Road and Smith Avenue, although they will remain open. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution in the construction zone, obey lower posted speed limits and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Regular work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed.

I-25 Bridge Replacement Project, Williamsburg CN1100990
El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing construction to replace the bridge at I-25 milepost 75, Broadway Street and NM 187 in Williamsburg. Traffic has been shifted into the northbound lanes with the on/off ramps open, access to the southbound on/off ramps are still closed. Currently crews are working on installation of southbound on/off ramps, pillar base and drainage structures. Regular work hours will be 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed. Access will be maintained to all businesses and residences during construction.

I-25 Guardrail Replacement Project, milepost 159 to 175, Socorro
J-H Supply, Co. (Contractor) will be continuing a guardrail and end treatment project along I-25 in Socorro County from milepost 159 to 175. Motorists can expect lane closures in the northbound lane from 165 t5o 166 and the southbound lane from milepost 162 to 160. Overnight lane closures should be expected. The hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. All lanes will be reopened from Dec. 22 to Jan. 2 for the holidays. Construction is expected to be completed by Spring 2024. 

I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 150 to 161, north of Socorro
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing the roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 25 from milepost 150 (Socorro North) to milepost 161 (Chamizal). Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the northbound and southbound lanes as needed. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

I-10, TPAS System Installation, Mile Marker 20 to 22, Lordsburg CN1102110
MWI, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing the installation of the Truck Parking Availability System (TPAS) along Interstate 10 from milepost 2 (NM/AZ Stateline) to milepost 163 (Anthony). Crews will be located at rest areas and a lane closure can be expected on I-10 westbound from milepost 2 to 4.5.



US Roadways:
US 380 Bridge Rehabilitation, San Antonio
AUI, Inc. (Contractor) will begin working on a bridge rehabilitation project on US 380 between mileposts 1.6 and 1.8 over the Rio Grande River.  The majority of the work will take place under and around the bridge, with no traffic impacts expected.  Drivers are asked to please obey traffic control devices if placed and be on the lookout for workers and/or equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

US 180 Valley gutter repairs, Silver City
A-Mountain Construction (Contractor) will be completing the ADA improvements along NM 180 from milepost 113.5 to 114.7. Shoulder work signage will be in place. Regular working hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday.

State Roadways:
NM 157 Bridge Rehabilitation, Radium Springs
AUI, Inc. (Contractor) will begin working on a bridge rehabilitation project on NM 157 at milepost 0.1 over the Leasburg Canal.  The majority of the work will take place under and around the bridge, with no traffic impacts expected.  Drivers are asked to please obey traffic control devices if placed and be on the lookout for workers and/or equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

NM 549, Roadway Rehabilitation, Deming
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing roadway rehabilitation project on NM 549 from milepost 10 to 22.  Drivers can expect lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of NM 549 as needed. A pilot car operation will be in place, please reduce your speed and obey traffic control devices. Roadway will be restricted to 12-foot for oversized loads. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some weekend work.

NM 90 Sidewalk and ADA Improvements, Silver City
A-Mountain Construction (Contractor) will be completing the ADA improvements along NM 90 with a right lane closure from milepost 42.6 to 41.5. The sidewalk will be closed in areas for replacement. Regular working hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday.

NM 101 Utility Replacement, Mesilla
JGF Built LLC (Contractor) will be replacing the underground utilities on NM 101 from milepost 0 to 0.8 (Intersection of Avenida de Mesilla and University Ave.) in the Town of Mesilla. Roadway is open but may be reclosed in the next month to finalize utility replacements. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly.

NM 26 Bridge Rehabilitation, Deming/Nutt CN1102010
Meridian Contracting, Inc. (Contractor) is currently working on a bridge rehabilitation project on NM 26 “Hatch Hwy” at milepost 26.8 near Nutt. Traffic can expect a temporary traffic signal in place with only one lane open over the bridge. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly.

NM 404 Roadway Widening, Anthony to Chaparral
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor), will be continuing the roadway reconstruction and lighting project on NM 404 from milepost 0.9 (Anthony) to milepost 8.8 (Chaparral). Traffic has been shifted into the eastbound lanes so construction can begin on the westbound lanes. Currently, the contractor is installing drainage structures, subgrade preparation, Base Course, and Hot Mix. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH for the safety of the traveling public. The contractor’s regular hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, some Saturdays as needed.  In preparation for the holidays the contractor will be working daily until December 22, taking leave, and returning to the project on January 2, 2024.

Chip Seal Projects, Hidalgo & Grant Co:
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be moving into Fog Sealing operations on roadways around Hidalgo Co.  The crew will be working on NM 9, NM 80, and NM 338. Speed limits will be reduced, no center stripe with loose gravel on roadway. Pilot car operations will be in place. Roadways listed below are scheduled for chip sealing & fog sealing operations.  

NM 9, Arizona Stateline to Animas, mike marker 0 -12
NM 338, I-10 south to Animas, mile marker 0 – 10
NM 80, I-10 south to Rodeo, mile marker 24.8 to 0 & 32.3 – 24.8

City of Las Cruces Projects:
Sonoma Ranch Blvd.
As part of the Sonoma Ranch Mile 1 Construction Project, Sonoma Ranch Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Sierra Ventana Avenue and Peachtree Hills Road while roadway and utility improvements are being completed. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs. The entire project is estimated to be completed by December 29, 2023.

Midway Avenue
As part of the Midway Avenue Reconstruction, roadway and utility improvements will be done by Morrow Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) Midway Avenue between Gasline Road and Mesa Drive will be closed to through traffic. The project is estimated to be completed by early 2024.

Bellamah Drive
Las Cruces Motorist are advised that Bellamah Dr. from Luna St. to S. Lees Dr. will be continuing with utility improvements and roadway improvements by A-Mountain Construction (Contractor) as part of the City of Las Cruces Bellamah Drive Reconstruction Project. Construction and the road closure is estimated to last until approximately June 2024 for phase 2. Resident and business access will be maintained at all times. Signage and detours will be present directing traffic around the work zone.

Elks Drive
Morrow Enterprises Inc. (Contractor) crews will begin installing the multi-use trail along Elks Drive in Las Cruces. Elks Drive will be shifted into a one lane road in the southbound direction. A detour for northbound traffic will be from Taylor Rd. to El Camino Real Road or E Dona Ana School Road to El Camino Real Road. This closure will be in place 24/7 until construction is complete, working hours are 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.

I-10 Widening West Project
Monday, December 18, from 9pm to 5am
·       South Desert Boulevard will be closed to all traffic between Transmountain Road and Clarkstone Court.
DETOUR: Turn right on Spur 16, turn left on SH 20 (Doniphan Drive), turn left on SH 178 (Artcraft Road), turn right on South Desert Boulevard.
Crews will be re-striping the frontage road to accommodate a new temporary off-ramp.

Tuesday, December 19, from 9pm to 5am
·       Eastbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic at Vinton Road.
DETOUR: Take Exit 2 (Spur 37/Vinton Road/Westway Drive), continue on South Desert Boulevard, and re-enter I-10 before Redd Road.
Crews will be relocating concrete barriers to accommodate a new temporary off-ramp.

Beginning on Wednesday, December 20, at 5am
·       New temporary off-ramp from eastbound I-10 to South Desert Boulevard at SH 178 (Artcraft Road) will open to traffic.
This ramp will allow eastbound traffic to access SH 178 (Artcraft Road)

Saturday, January 6 at 9pm, through Monday, January 8 at 6am
·       Westbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic at Artcraft Road.
DETOUR: Take Exit 8 (SH 178/Artcraft Road), continue on North Desert Boulevard, re-enter I-10, past Vinton Road.
Crews will be placing the bridge deck.

The following closures will continue until further notice:
·       Eastbound I-10 is reduced to one lane from north of Transmountain Road to Redd Road.
·       Westbound I-10 is reduced to one lane from Redd Road to north of Transmountain Road.
·       Eastbound offramp to for Transmountain Road is closed, detour via Exit 2 (Spur 37/Vinton Road/Westway Drive) to South Desert Boulevard.
·       The direct connector ramp from westbound Loop 375 (Transmountain Road) to eastbound I-10 is closed to all traffic.
·       Alternating daytime lane closures are possible on North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard between Redd Road and Anthony, Texas.
