Dominguez03Guadalupe "Lupe" S. Dominguez, 74, a resident of Faywood, NM entered eternal rest Monday, September 15, 2014 in Bayard, NM. She was born June 25, 1940 in San Juan, NM to Jose and Anastacia (Jimenez) Salaiz. Lupe was well known all around the Mimbres Valley because of her delicious cakes, pies and tamales. She was a giving kind of soul, always giving to those in need. Lupe would always be in the kitchen cooking for all her family especially during the holidays and especially during family branding days. She will be greatly missed by all her family and all her dear friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 yrs, Leandro S. Dominguez Sr. of the family home; two daughters, Martina Ramos (Armando) of Sahuarita, AZ; Rubie Misquez of Bayard; five sons, Leandro Dominguez Jr. Of San Juan; Randy J. Dominguez (Priscilla) of North Hurley; Richard Dominguez (Jessica) of Bayard; Ernie Dominguez of Mimbres; Benny Dominguez (Erica) of San Juan; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elicia Gonzales (Tomas) of Albuquerque; Lela Cordova (Severo) of Espanola; three brothers, Joe Salaiz of Bayard; Manuel Salaiz of San Juan; Bernie Salaiz (Lucy) of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Orlando "Chacho" Misquez Jr., son-in-law, Orlando "Orlie" Misquez Sr.; two sisters, Clara Baca and Clorinda Vigil; two brothers, Gabriel and Robert Salaiz. Visitation will be Sunday, September 21 from 5-6pm with the holy rosary to begin at 6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Juanita Sierra reciting. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, September 22 at 10am at Infant Jesus Catholic Shrine with Father Roberto Barreto officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at San Juan cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Dominguez, Benny Dominguez, Leandro Dominguez Jr., Richard Dominguez, Armando Ramos, and Steve Salaiz.
