Rafael Rueda RSRafael C. Rueda, 90, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, November 28, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born October 24 1925 in Colonia Lerdo De Tejada in Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose Maria Rueda and Sofia Calderon. Mr. Rueda enjoyed the outdoors.

He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Woodworking was another one of his enjoyable hobbies. He was minister and retired Pastor for the Apostolic Church.

He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Maria A. Rueda of the family home; four sons, Rafael A. Rueda Jr. and wife Drucilla of Albuquerque; Tomas A. Rueda and wife Geraldine of Silver City; Santiago R. Avalos of Las Cruces; Ruben R. Avalos of San Jose, CA; four daughters, Elizabeth A. Morales and husband Sam of Silver City; Silvia A. Rueda of Silver City; Mercedes A. Leyba and husband David of Bayard; Ernestina A. Dominguez of Silver City; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jose Maria Rueda of Lubbock, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David R. Avalos; one daughter, Rachel R. Avalos; three brothers, Manuel, Tomas and Jesus Rueda; one sister, Carolina Ramos.

Visitation will be Friday, December 4 from 10-11am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Funeral Service to begin at 11am with Pastor Rafael Rueda Jr. officiating.

Concluding service interment will follow at Hurley cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph A. Rueda III, Tomas A. Rueda Sr., Tomas A. Rueda Jr., David Kostachek, Juan De La O, Julian Rueda, Matthew Molano and A.J. Tow.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Erpestad, Jack Hanson, Ben Correa, Robert De La O, Daniel Rueda, Jonathan Leyba, David Kwant, Samuel Morales, Santiago (Jimmy) Avalos and Dustin Steelman.
