seferina rendon rsIt is with deep sorrow and very heavy hearts that our lovely mother, Seferina Rendon, went to be with Our Lord on November 16, 2017.

Seferina was born on January 8, 1917 in Lordsburg, NM to Juan and Juilana Morelos Cervantes where she lived a long and happy 100 years! Sixty-two of those years she spent with her loving husband, Monico Rendon. Together they were blessed with 6 children, 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

She will be remembered for always cleaning her house and yard as well as her fondness for hitting the casinos! She is survived by her children, Helen Chaires, Manuel (Joyce) Rendon, Dolores (Caesar) Flores and Ida (Ramon) Reyes who will miss her greatly but who have many wonderful memories of their beautiful mother.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Juan and Juilana, her loving husband, Monico, 2 sons, Elias Sr., and Danny Rendon, 2 grandchildren, Elias Jr., and Michael Rendon, 2 great grandchildren, Yvette Gomez and Mariah Reyes.

Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2017 from 9-10 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lordsburg, NM with Yolanda Kinnerup reciting the holy rosary at 10 am. The funeral Liturgy will follow at 11 am with Father Jude Okonkwo officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Reyes, Jacob Reyes, Derek Reyes, Eric Escobar, Andrew Flores, Caesar Ray Lopez, and Sterling Burke. Honorary pallbearers will be all her remaining grandchildren.
