SantoyoJJerry Alcario Santoyo, 57, a resident of Lordsburg, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, January 14, 2024.  He was born on June 2, 1966 to his parents, Jerry and Maria (Martinez Lopez) Santoyo in Lordsburg, NM.  Jerry, aka “Boy” played football when he was younger then got into boxing when he was in junior high.  Boy had a passion for low riders, from having a low rider bike when he was a kid to a low rider truck as an adult.  Jerry joined the National Guard in Fort Bliss, Texas before his senior year of high school.  After high school, Jerry lived in Las Cruces where he worked at Coca Cola then moved to Albuquerque, where he worked as an audio technician.  When Jerry moved back to Lordsburg, he worked as a truck driver, security guard, cook and cashier.  Jerry was a jokester and brought joy to others with his humor and mischievousness.  Everyone who knew Jerry, knew he loved his Harley Davidson and the freedom he got from riding his Harley.  Jerry is now riding his Harley to heaven where he is now at peace. 

He is survived by his two sons, Zabian Santoyo of Lordsburg, NM and Julian “Cory” Santoyo of Lordsburg, NM; his brothers, Tommy Santoyo of Lordsburg, NM and Tony Lopez of Lordsburg, NM; his sisters, Terry Lopez of Safford, AZ and Nancy Lopez of Lordsburg, NM.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steven Santoyo and his sister, Cindy Santoyo.

The Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (416 E 2nd St. Lordsburg, New Mexico 88045) recited and officiated by Father Martin Okonkwo with the Memorial Mass commencing at 11:00am.  The Inurnment will follow the mass at 12:30pm at Shakespeare Cemetery.
