AguirreDavidDavid Aguirre, 47, On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 6th, David, also known as “Super Dave” went into eternal rest alongside his beloved mother.  While passing into paradise, David was surrounded by his loving family.  

David was born on March 5, 1977 to his parents, Juan M. and Evangelina (Esqueda) Aguirre, Jr., in Silver City, NM and was raised in the canyons of Fierro with his siblings and countless cousins.  He attended school within the Cobre District and graduated from Cobre High School in 1995.  While in high school, David began working for Cali’s Plumbing.  Later in life, David obtained his journeyman’s license and took over Cali’s Plumbing.  For over 32 years, David was a fixture in the community providing services to his customers who were more like family to him.  He especially loved helping his elderly customers.  

As a young father, David always took his responsibility of loving his three daughters unconditionally.  He always went above and beyond for his daughters; no words can explain the love he had for his daughters.  

For the past eight years, David shared his life with his fiancé Melanie Gomez.  During time, David shared his love of life through hunting, camping, bike runs and a good night at the bar with Melanie.  

Even though David’s life ended to shortly, his spirit will live on through the memories of those he touched.  

He is survived by his father, Juan Molinar Aguirre, Jr; his fiancé Melanie Gomez of Arenas Valley, NM; his three daughters, Breanda Aguirre of Las Cruces, NM, Genean Aguirre of Silver City, NM and Mikayla Aguirre of Las Cruces, NM; his brother Miguel Aguirre of Silver City, NM; his three sisters, Terri DeLaTorre (Gilbert) of Bayard, NM, Sally DeLaTorre of Apache Grove, AZ, Betty Tovar (Eddie) of Arenas Valley, NM and his numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Evangelina (Esqueda) Aguirre; his brother-in-law Lalo DeLaTorre.  

The Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 at 5:00pm-6:00pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Holy Rosary commencing at 6:00pm, recited by Mary Jo and Elicia De La Torre.  The Funeral Mass will be the following day, Friday, March 15th, 2024 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Fatima, with Father Martin Okonkwo officiating.  The inurnment will take place at 4:30pm, where he will be laid to rest, near his mother, Evangelina at the Hanover Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Edward “Wedo” DeLaTorre, Shane DeLaTorre, Alex DeLaTorre, Andres Tovar, Rodney Aguirre, Peter Alarid, Carlos Grado, Tommy Gomez.  Honorary pallbearers are JP Trujillo, Thomas “Mowie” Ponce, Cesar Jimenez, Roland Madrid, Guillermo Cisneros, Smiley Cisneros, Andy Gomez, Gabe Mendoza.
