Fire crews plan to ignite Pine Cienega slash piles off of Brushy Mountain Road (Grant County Road 5-12), approximately 23 miles southwest of Glenwood, New Mexico beginning Monday, January 8, if appropriate weather and fuels conditions allow.
The project includes about 300 acres of slash piles that are the result of thinning hazardous fuels in February 2023.
