Washington, D.C. - Power The Future applauds President Trump's stand at the United Nations by urging the world to abandon the failed global climate crusade in favor of real energy security. In his remarks, President Trump exposed the hypocrisy of international mandates that punish American producers while rewarding nations that manipulate energy markets. President Trump warned world leaders, "I'm telling you that if you don't get away from the green energy scam, your country is going to fail."

"President Trump is spot on to call out the climate agenda for what it is: a movement that weakens nations and leaves families paying the price," said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. "Europe's dependence on Russian natural gas proves windmills and solar panels can't reliably provide critical power when needed. Thankfully, America has the natural resources to power our future and now we also have leadership in Washington, D.C. willing to defend American producers."

The President's remarks took place as a new report shows many industrialized countries are increasing fossil fuel production despite International climate mandates.

In 2018, the UN delegation from Germany laughed as President Trump warned them their reliance on Russian natural gas was a weakness for their country. Fast forward to less than two months ago when the European Union, which includes Germany, signed a $750 billion deal to buy American-made energy to loosen their dependence on Russian energy.
