Washington, D.C. - Power The Future commends the U.S. Senate for its decisive 51-44 vote to revoke California’s authority to enforce its onerous electric vehicle (EV) mandate, which aimed to ban the sale of new gasoline-powered cars by 2035. The measure, having already passed the House, will now go to President Trump for his signature.
“American families should have the freedom to choose the vehicles that best meet their needs and not have a faceless bureaucrat impose a mandate on them,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “The vote is a victory for economic choice and a rejection of the green agenda policies that fail to consider the reality faced by working families. We look forward to President Trump signing this bill without the help of an autopen.”
