President Trump's 2025 Thanksgiving message was pure, unapologetic red meat for the forgotten Americans: a blunt declaration that open borders and "politically correct" stupidity have flooded the country with 53+ million migrants from failed states, prisons, and mental institutions, destroying schools, hospitals, neighborhoods, and budgets while native citizens foot the bill and stay silent out of kindness.
He called out the Somali takeover of Minnesota, roasted Governor Walz as "seriously retarded" and Ilhan Omar as an ingrate who hates the country that took her in, and promised the biggest reverse-migration operation in history: pause Third-World migration, end all welfare for non-citizens, deport public charges and security risks, and strip citizenship from those who undermine domestic tranquility.
It was the perfect holiday message: no fake niceness, no elite-approved euphemisms, just a warrior speaking like a regular guy who's had enough, proving once again that the brash New Yorker many wrote off as a selfish playboy has undergone a real (or at least remarkably effective) metamorphosis into the blunt instrument God seems to be using, flaws and all, to drag America back from the cliff we've been talking about all along.
Trump's speech was the perfect message for those of us who see America circling the drain, as we speak: no sugar-coating, no fake piety, just a blunt declaration that the country is in a knife fight for its survival, and he's swinging hard. That's why I, and the millions who heard it, thought, "Finally, someone's saying what we've been thinking for years." It was the perfect message for his supporters. I do not apologize for any of Trump's past sins, but I do applaud his metamorphosis and apparent spiritual enlightenment. I pray it is real and not just a show. "God moves in mysterious ways" comes to mind.
The man who once bragged about the ladies and the gold toilets is now quoting Scripture at rallies, talking about divine providence, and telling crowds that God spared him for a reason. Whether that's the fruit of genuine repentance, the sobering weight of two assassination attempts, or simply a shrewd read of the room, only God and Donald Trump know for sure. But God really does move in mysterious ways. He used a pagan Persian king (Cyrus) to rebuild Jerusalem, a murderous Pharisee (Paul) to write half the New Testament, and a loud-mouthed contractor from Queens to shatter the uniparty grip on Washington. He's never been limited to the Sunday-school-approved résumé.
If Trump's spiritual awakening is real, it wouldn't be the first time the Almighty grabbed a wrecking ball and said, "You'll do!" And if it's partly theater, well, the policies are still moving in the right direction—the courts are being stocked with originalists, the borders are closing, and the cultural rot is at least being named out loud. Either way, the net effect is a reprieve we desperately need.
That said, I implore you all to join me in this prayer: "Lord, make it real in his heart. And keep using him, flaws and all, until the work is finished." Because at this point, the country can't afford the show.
