Once again, there is so much going on in our world that it makes it difficult to choose a topic for this column. So why not some random thoughts and observations about what has been happening?

We are not at war with Venezuela. The posturing and grandstanding by the Democrats along with their RINO friends about amending the war powers act is just that, a show to placate the ignorant masses that hate Donald Trump.

Politicians and advocates called gender affirming care necessary in order to protect the mental health, especially for children. Yet they don't want the child to be seen by a mental health professional. Canada even made that illegal as did some states in America. Doesn't that seem counterintuitive?

Politicians exist to get reelected. The best way to do so is to provide benefits to people that vote. Many people hate health insurance companies and complain about how much money they make. Politicians promise to do something about the exploitation of our health care system by those very same companies. They make too much money off people being sick. Yet the Democrats and more RINOs just voted to extend the massive subsidies the government gives to health insurance companies under the cloak of Obamacare. We have given trillions of dollars a year to those companies guaranteeing those massive profits.

The meme brigade and some in Europe are threatening to defend Denmark and Greenland if Trump uses military force to annex Greenland. That's like Tim Walz threatening to beat up Mike Tyson.

ICE agents did not murder an innocent woman who was just trying to leave. Watch all of the videos instead of feeding your sense of moral superiority.

When a woman says, "can I ask you a question?", understand the investigation has been completed. You're now in the trial and punishment phase. Same thing goes for, "I just think it's funny..."

Let's see how long the liberals in NYC support Zohran Mamdani. His administration announced that property will no longer be treated as 'individual property rights' but as 'collective property rights'. That means property owners are going to transition to a different relationship with their homes, which they will no longer own individually. If history is any predictor, the wealthy and well connected will continue to have individual property rights under his socialist/communist system, but the average family won't.

The incoming UN Security Council director is a Somali national that owns a home health center in Ohio. According to news stories, that center is heavily dependent upon government money. Are you seeing a pattern yet?
