LTE: Gaza Starvation

There does not seem to be very much accurate reporting on the conditions in Gaza. The New York Times and other publications have been caught in flagrant misreporting of the facts, all with a strong anti-Israeli bias.

The following article, in my opinion, is an objective review of the starvation in Gaza and how it’s been covered by the media. That’s just my opinion. Skepticism is in order on ANY reporting about Gaza, including this article:

Read the last paragraph again:

“One of the terrible facts of this war is that the Palestinians who started the war, and who constructed the twisted battlefield on which it has been fought, won’t act to save their own people. Starvation and death serve the Hamas plan. That means that Israel must decide how far it wants to push—and when to stop.”

I would like to ask the author two questions:

Why “must” Israel decide anything about the people of Gaza? Their condition is the result of an attack on Israel by Hamas.

When did it become incumbent upon warring nations to feed the enemy’s civilians?
