"Georgetown NM Mining and the Mimbres Mills"
Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 05:00pm |
Enjoy a late afternoon history talk and power point presentation by David Mercer, who is interning with the Imogen F. Wilson Education Foundation at the Mimbres Culture Heritage Site. A Master's Degree student at NMSU, Mercer lives in the Mimbres Valley and is very interested in its history. Dr. Granville Wood, who homesteaded the old Mattock's Ruin site, had interests in mining as well as many other settlers in the valley. Mercer has researched the connections from Georgetown to the Mimbres. This is a free presentation, however donations are always appreciated.
