Artists Invited to "Paint Out Silver"

Download as iCal file

From Friday, May 26, 2017
To Sunday, May 28, 2017

The en plein air painting event will occur in and around downtown Silver City. All media are welcome and the public is invited to watch our talented area artists turn canvases into art! Picturesque backdrops are everywhere in our historic downtown. Artists can choose a setting such as Big Ditch Park or Bullard or Broadway or other streets and byways that abound with colorful and unique buildings. These are 3 big days of an exciting art adventure for plein air artists and their followers. Friday morning, May 26, is an 8:30 check-in at the visitor center, and 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 27, is the time for the submission of work for exhibit, judging and sale. There are cash prizes! And as a grand finale, Sunday afternoon is the announcement of the People’s Choice award and closing of the show.
