On Saturday, June 26 at 11am, as part of the Silver City Museum’s Unpacking Silver City presentation and discussion series, local historian, author, and retired Silver City Museum Director Susan Berry will present “Built to Last: The Ongoing Evolution of Silver City.” The town’s major eras and transition points will be explored in this abundantly illustrated lecture, which will trace the physical, social, and cultural changes that have led up to the Silver City of today. The presentation will be followed by a discussion featuring guest commentators Priscilla Lucero of the Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments, Charmeine Wait of Silver City MainStreet, and local historian Nancy Cliff.
