Friends of the Silver City Library Book Sale

Download as iCal file

Saturday, January 08, 2022, 10:00am - 02:00pm

Weather permitting, the Silver City Friends of the Library (FOL) January Bookstore and Outside Book Sale will be held Saturday, January 8, from 10:00am-2:00pm, at 1510 Market Street across from Cheyenne Street. Per public health orders, masks are required for ages 2 and up inside the bookstore building.

"Outside the Bookstore will be the traditional $2/bag parking lot sale where visitors will find tables loaded with boxes, filled to their brims with genres ranging from reference books, romance novels, classic literature, mysteries, sci-fi, westerns--you can find something on just about anything," Guber continued.  Visitors will be provided with FOL bags that they can fill for $2.00 per bag. There is no limit on the number of bags that may be purchased.

Customer parking is available street-side only because of space issues in the parking lot. FOL volunteers will be available to assist visitors in carrying their purchases to their cars.

Funds from FOL book sales go to the Silver City Public Library to support its programs and activities which serve our whole community and enhance its quality of life.

Book donations can be placed in the Friends of the Library donation bins outside the Silver City Library main door. These are located to the right of the Library’s bin for returning library books. For further information regarding donations in general or for arranging pickup for large donations, please contact folsilvercitynm@gmail.com or call 575-538-4940.

This is a public event; you don’t have to be a member of FOL to purchase any of our books. Come and enjoy browsing the stacks and finding treasures, all while supporting the Silver City Public Library.
