"Mysterious Existence," at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City
Sunday, January 22, 2023, 10:00am |
Local author Lynne Zotalis will talk about and read from her new poetry collection “Mysterious Existence.” This unflinching compilation of poetry explores affirmations of honesty and heartfelt emotion speaking to our shared humanity. From life and death to love and loss, Zotalis invites you to venture into the valleys and mountain tops of this courageous collection, sometimes humorous, sometimes angry, but always thought provoking where grace and survival are woven throughout the pages like a plumb bob. Along with remarkable photography, Zotalis highlights her views of nature and the unexpected in life.
Zotalis is an award-winning author, garnering a Firebird Book Award and a finalist from Best Book Awards, both in the Creative Nonfiction category for “Hippie at Heart (What I Used To Be, I Still Am).” Her books are available at our local bookstores in Silver City and on Amazon.
There are speakers on the patio if you wish to listen to the service outside.
This Sunday there will be a Children’s Religious Education program. Parents are invited to bring children four years old and above to attend youth-led classes. Ninth grader Ivy Stephens-Etheridge, a former CRE student, will read a story and lead a lesson on Perseverance or Sticking With It.
