Pick It Up - Toss No Mas Community Cleanup

Download as iCal file

Saturday, April 15, 2023, 09:00am - 12:00pm

Pick It Up-Toss No Mas invites the community to celebrate Earth Day week by volunteering to remove litter in our community and waterways. During the month of April, people from all over the world are coming together to collectively address the climate crisis and work towards creating a healthy future for everyone. We need volunteers like you to help collectively reduce litter in our community and keep Silver City clean and beautiful! Volunteer to team up to clean up our community!

Pick It Up-Toss No Mas is proud to partner with Gila Earth Day for our upcoming cleanup to be held Saturday, April 15 9 AM-12 PM at Gough Park parking lot in Silver City, New Mexico.

Meet the Pick It Up – Toss No Mas team in the Gough Park parking lot and grab supplies, including trash bags, gloves, trash pickers, snacks, and free t-shirts. Return to Gough Park parking lot between 11 am and noon to drop off collected trash and recyclables and record your cleanup results that will qualify you for prizes.

We recommend that volunteers wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Families with younger children are encouraged to clean up litter in their neighborhoods, local parks, or waterways since children under 12 are not permitted on state highways for the cleanup.

Check out the new Pick It Up-Toss No Mas website www.silvercitytossnomas.org to sign up to volunteer and to learn about litter prevention opportunities, the business pledge program, Adopt-A-Roadway or Waterway program, and solid waste disposal and recycling resources.
