GRMC GospelSilver City, NM – Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) is pleased to announce that the Silver City Gospel Mission has been selected as the recipient of the Q2 Gila Regional CARES Program donation, funded through proceeds generated by cafeteria sales.

The Gila Regional CARES Program reflects GRMC's commitment to giving back to the communities it serves by supporting local nonprofit organizations that are making a meaningful impact throughout Grant County.

Since 1985, the Silver City Gospel Mission has served local individuals and families by helping meet basic needs such as food, clothing, support services, and connections to community resources. The Mission provides daily meals, food assistance, clothing, hygiene services, and compassionate support for those facing hardship.

GRMC's senior leadership team recently presented a donation check to Vincent Laupola, Manager of Silver City Gospel Mission; Marsha Bowman, President of the Board of Directors; and Cassandra Allen, Thrift Store Manager, in recognition of the organization's ongoing efforts to address hunger, homelessness, and poverty in the community.

"Giving back to the community we serve is at the heart of our Gila Regional CARES Program," said Robert Whitaker, GRMC CEO. "The Silver City Gospel Mission has been a vital resource for Grant County residents for more than four decades, providing hope, dignity, and support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. We are honored to support their important work."

GRMC is grateful for the dedication of Vincent Laupola and the entire Silver City Gospel Mission team, whose ongoing efforts to provide food, resources, and compassionate support continue to strengthen the lives of individuals and families throughout Grant County.
