Keynote speaker Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham joins Western New Mexico University in honoring its newest cohort of graduates during its Spring 2026 Commencement.
Hundreds of students, including those attending in person and virtually from across the world, will receive certificates, associate, baccalaureate, and master's degrees.
Gov. Lujan Grisham, WNMU graduates, Interim President Chris Maples, Ph.D., incoming President Jose Coll, Ph.D., university leadership, faculty, friends and families of students.

Due to anticipated attendance gates will now open at 3:00 p.m.

(In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move to the Fine Arts Theater with overflow seating at the Global Resource Center and Light Hall.)
The ceremony serves as a tribute to the academic perseverance and professional growth of the Mustang community.
WNMU will implement a strictly enforced bag policy. Only clear bags will be allowed into the commencement venue. To ensure a safe environment for all guests and graduates, all other bags, including backpacks and large purses, are prohibited.
