SILVER CITY, N.M. — September 17, 2026 — The Silver City Lodgers' Tax Advisory Board (LTAB) will begin accepting applications September 26, 2026, for events seeking Lodgers' Tax funding.

The Lodgers' Tax program is intended to support events that help market Silver City as a destination and generate measurable benefits for the local tourism economy.

Tourism Impact Will Be a Key Consideration. Applicants will be asked to provide specific information about the anticipated or demonstrated impact of their events, including visitor attendance, overnight lodging, visitor spending, destination promotion and partnerships with local businesses and travel related organizations.

Community benefit is important, but community benefit alone does not necessarily establish eligibility for Lodgers' Tax funding. Applications will be evaluated using an Event Scoring Form. With limited Lodgers' Tax funds available, the scoring process will help the Advisory Board assess proposals based on their demonstrated or anticipated tourism and economic impacts.

The goal is to direct tourism dollars toward events that can show a clear connection between the investment and Silver City's visitor economy.

Applications will be available beginning September 26 by contacting the Town Clerk, Lisa Barber at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
