Beatrice "Betty" V. Legarda, 51, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas, TX. She was born on September 25, 1974, to Jr., and Socorro Valerio, in Silver City, New Mexico.
Betty retired in 2024, from Fort Bayard Medical Center, after twenty-five years of service, as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a beautiful, caring and loving person who enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping, going to concerts, listening to music, dancing, laughing, and spending time with family. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Sal Legarda, III; her son, Adam Legarda (Betty Orosco); her daughter Nicole Legarda (David Madrid); her five grandchildren, Amiyah Legarda, Keilani Legarda, Josiah Madrid, Mia Madrid, and Zaynian Madrid; her two sisters Sonia Valerio (Ruben Orosco), Sylvia V. Arias (Frank Arias), and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jr., and Socorro Valerio, her brother Rudy G. Valerio, and her best friend Tami Legarda.
A procession will be leaving Terrazas Funeral Chapels, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. at 10:15am. Graveside service will be held at Hanover Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest by her parents Jr., and Socorro and her brother Rudy. Pallbearers are RJ Pena, Jared Pena, Jacob Pena, Jacob Arias, James Arias, Rudy Legarda, and Joey Rodriguez.
