Jennifer White, 72, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Gila Regional Medical Center. She was born in Victorville, California to her parents Dan and Lillian White on December 4, 1953. Jennifer grew up in Hurley, New Mexico, until her parents' bought property in Pinos Altos, New Mexico, her senior year.
She had memories of playing near the mine tailing ponds with her brothers and another story where the family adopted a dog that turned out to be a coyote.
Jennifer's senior year the family moved north of Pinos Altos. They bought a "fixer upper" and spent family time expanding the house. For many years they enjoyed telling stories around the fire pit, horseback riding, and large family get togethers.
As a single mom, Jennifer was a hard worker. Often working two or three jobs at a time, while raising her two children. She was very proud to work at the Grant County Clerk's office and made lifelong friends while helping members of our community. She treated everyone with love, kindness & grace, and had a soft spot for people who needed help. She was an adventurer, enjoyed traveling, her dogs, and loved her children with her whole heart. Jennifer had a remarkable talent for decorating, especially on a budget. She was an amazing daughter, mom, Gigi, sister, auntie and friend. Jennifer lived a full life and will be missed.
Jennifer is survived by one daughter, Amy Bornhoff and husband Heiko of Tucson, AZ and one son, Tyler Otwell of Silver City, NM; two grandchildren, Corbin and Owen Bornhoff; one brother Brian White and wife Lisa of Placitas, NM; sister Rachel Head and husband Mike of Pinos Altos, NM; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two of her brothers, Roger and Vincent White.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Otwell, Heiko Bornhoff, Corbin and Owen Bornhoff.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10am, at Terrazas Funeral Chapels, Pastor Joseph Gros.
