Juanita (Jennie) Aragon Garcia, 92, former resident of Deming passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 in Tucson, AZ surrounded by her family. Jennie was born in Tortugas, NM on June 24, 1934 to Ricarte Aragon and Petra Herrera
Jennie worked for the Deming Public Schools cafeteria and was an Avon Lady for many years.
She is survived by her children, Robert A. Garcia, Ronald (Socorro) Garcia, and Lisa (Bill) Ryan; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jennie is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert P. Garcia; a son, Arnold Garcia; a grandson, Robert Michael Moore; 3 siblings, Richard Aragon, Lily Chavez and Frank Aragon; as well as her companion, Lupe Terrazas.

We will miss our beautiful, loving mother and grandmother and her beautiful smile and encouragement she gave us. We are grateful for the unwavering faith and love of our Lord Jesus Christ that our mother and grandmother instilled in us. Her strength and inspiration will forever be in our hearts. We love you, Mom.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 9:30 to 10 o'clock in the morning at St. Ann's Catholic Church where the recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited at 10 led by Socorro Garcia. The Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 10:30 followed by the rite of committal and interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Francis Gyau will be officiating.
Serving as Jennie's pallbearers will be Robert A. Garcia, Ronald Garcia, Robert P. Garcia, Matthew Ryan, Bill Ryan, and Gabriel Garcia. Honorary Bearer will serve as Mike Sanders.
