MarshallOliviaOlivia Marshall, 62, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Born April 11, 1964, Olivia grew up in Deming, New Mexico where she was born and spent her childhood, and also spent time in Mimbres and Silver City with her family. She later went to college in Las Cruces and lived in Houston, TX.

Olivia graduated from Deming High School with honors and earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration with honors from New Mexico State University—an education that reflected her sharp mind and steady determination. She built a distinguished career as a Business Analyst for Shell Oil / International, bringing intelligence, strength, and purpose to her work and to the life she created for those she loved.

On March 9, 2002, Olivia married her lifelong love, (Oza Marshall), in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they formed a family grounded in devotion, high standards, and deep affection—one in which each child and grandchild was made to feel seen, valued, and uniquely cherished.

Olivia found joy in the quiet pleasure of reading, especially novels and books, and she was never happier than when surrounded by family. One of her favorite things was to spoil her grandchildren and spend time with those she loved most. Her home and her heart were places of welcome; she was known for a rare hospitality and a caring spirit that remembered and celebrated the milestones of others—every baby, anniversary, and birthday—making friends and family feel honored and held close.

Her love was active and attentive. Olivia seemed to always have somebody's baby in her arms, delighting in teaching children, playing with them, and guiding them as they grew. She encouraged her children through sports, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, and she poured the same energy into her grandchildren's activities, including ballet, gymnastics, and karate. She also cared deeply about faith and family tradition, ensuring her grandbabies were baptized and helping the oldest ones prepare for their first communion, as part of the foundation she worked to build. Faithful and devoted to God, Olivia lived with conviction and with a love that was powerful, steadfast, and generous.

Olivia was preceded in death by her mother Josephina (Pina) Schroeder; her stepfather Frank Schroeder; her mother's siblings—her aunt Juanita (Nita) and her husband Narciso (Chicho) Jaime, and her aunt Manuela Herrera; and her cousins Yolanda Milan and Maria Elena Martinez.

Olivia is survived by her husband Oza Marshall; her children Antonio Almanza III, Michelle Inez Almanza, and Oza Lee Marshall Jr.; her grandchildren Isaiah Ysavel Almanza, Anthony Isaac Martinez, Alicia Maria Martinez, Zoey Alaina Almanza, Leia Alexa Almanza, and Occien Lucien Marshall; her siblings Gilbert Orosco his wife Martha and Elizabeth Gonzalez her husband Victor; her nieces and nephews Gilbert (Gilly) Orosco Jr. his wife Bernice, Shaddai Lerman her husband Mathew and their two sons Liam and Luke, Victor Ricky Gonzalez and his wife Channing, and Morghane Inez Gonzalez; and her many cousins whom she loved and spoke fondly about often.
