Interstates: 

I-25 Guardrail Replacement Project, Mile Marker 6 to 14.2, Las Cruces to Dona AnaLC00384

J-H Supply Company, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a guardrail and concrete barrier wall project on Interstate 25 from Las Cruces to just north of Doña Ana. Traffic Control and lane closures will be in place 24/7 in both directions for guardrail removal and replacement. Speed limits will be reduced throughout the project. Contractors' working hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 70 to 85, T or C CN 1102320/1102330

Mountain States Constructors Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway reconstruction project on I-25 from mile marker 70 to mile marker 85 (Cuchillo). Lane closures will be in place on both the southbound and northbound lanes for guardrail removal and replacement. Speed limits will be reduced throughout the project. Contractor's working hours will be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend work. 

I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 125 to 139, south of SocorroCN1102190

Mountain States Constructors Inc. (Contractor) is finalizing the roadway reconstruction project on I-25 from mile marker 125 to mile marker 139(San Antonio). Lane closures will be in place on both the southbound and northbound lanes for the installation of ruble strips and pavement markings. Speed limits will be reduced throughout the project. Contractor's working hours will be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

US Roadways:

US 180, Soil Sampling, Mile Marker 111 and NM 90 East Broadway, Silver City

Terracon Consultants (Contractor) will be collecting soil samples for the upcoming project at US 180 and NM 90 intersections.  Lane closures will be closed for the safety for the contractor and the traveling public. Working hours will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. This project is expected to be completed by August 14, 2026. 

State Roadways:

NM 101 University Ave & NM 188 Valley Drive intersection, Push button replacement, Las Cruces

Bixby Electric Inc. (Contractor) will be relocating the crosswalk push buttons at the intersection on University Ave and Valley Dr. Turning lanes will be closed for the safety for the contractor and the traveling public. Working hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. This project is expected to be completed by August 14, 2026. 

NM 213 & NM 404, Roadway Widening, Mile Marker 0 to 2, Chaparral E100321/322

FNF Construction Inc. (Contractor) has begun roadway reconstruction project on NM 213 and NM 404. This project was placed into suspension as on February 25, 2026, due to unforeseen issues impacting ongoing construction. Construction is expected to resume mid to late August. 

NM 11, Box Culvert, Mile Marker .08, Columbus Port of Entry

Morrow Ent. Inc. (Contractor) has completed roadway paving at the intersection of NM 11 and El Paso Ave, just north of the Port of Entry. Contractor will be on site for guardrail placement, lane closures with a flagging operation maybe in place. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and work is expected to be completed by Fall 2026.

NM 28, northbound Lane Closure, Mesilla Area

Lane Closure, NM 28 northbound driving and turning lan to NM 101 University Ave is closed due to road repairs. Motorists should expect delays, follow all posted detour signs, and use caution in the work zone. At this time, there is no estimated reopening time. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Chip Seal Projects, Luna Co:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be completing Chip Seal operations on roadways in the Deming area of Luna County. During operations, drivers can expect flagging personnel, pilot vehicles, and temporary stops. Brooming will occur during and after the sealing process. Loose gravel may remain on road surfaces for a few days post-treatment. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note that center striping will be absent in work zones until completion. Roads scheduled for chip sealing, in order:

City of Las Cruces Projects:

Lohman Ave. and Walnut St. Intersection

All outside lanes approaching the intersection of Lohman Avenue and Walnut Street will be temporarily closed. The lane closures are expected to remain in place until approximately August 7, 2026. A Mountain Professional Construction will be performing roadway and signal improvements at the intersection during this time.

Borderland Expressway Phase 2

Closures 7/27/26 through 7/31/26

Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31, Daily, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Alternate Lane closures on US54 EB/WB between Mesquite Hills and McCombs. Mesquite Hills reduced to one lane between US54 and Red Man Dr. Flaggers will be on site directing traffic as needed for haul trucks crossing Mesquite Hills. Flaggers will be on site directing traffic as needed for haul trucks crossing at McCombs and Stan Roberts.

Crews will be transporting earth embankment into the project.
