From exploring nearly 100 undergraduate programs to hearing from current students about campus life to meeting future instructors and mentors, Aggie Experience offers prospective students and their families an in-depth look at benefits of attending New Mexico State University.

In both the fall and spring semesters, Undergraduate Admissions hosts open house events to showcase the university. Aggie Experience is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to connect with faculty, staff and students from across NMSU. The first Aggie Experience event of 2026-2027 will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. All the events are free, and online registration is available.

A day on campus at an Aggie Experience event includes a tour of NMSU's beautiful campus and residence halls, college presentations, lunch in Taos Cafeteria, presentations from Admissions, Housing and Financial Aid, along with live demonstrations, hands-on experiences and a resource fair.

"My favorite part of Aggie Experience is in the afternoon, when students really get to take ownership of their day," Director of Admissions Danielle Staley said. "They can choose from a variety of hands-on activities and sessions that match their interests; whether that's exploring an academic program, getting involved in student life, or experiencing campus in a more interactive way. That flexibility allows students to design an experience that feels personal and meaningful, and it helps them picture what their own path at NMSU could look like."

At the Aggie Experience Oct. 10 event, the Department of Theatre Arts will offer a sneak peak, the Department of Physics will have a live demonstration, Army ROTC will conduct a simulation-based training exercise, the Pre-Pharmacy program will conduct a lip scrub compounding pharmacy activity, and much more. Events are subject to change.

Additionally, Aggie Experience events will be held Friday, Feb. 12 and Friday, March 5.
