LEGAL NOTICE

The Town of Silver City's Reuse and Recycle Committee will hold a Meeting on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the Little Toad Creek, 200 N. Bullard, Silver City, New Mexico. The public is invited to attend.

A. Stan to provide updated data on Tonnage/Costs of material going to the landfill.

B. Stan to report on city's reception of SCRRC's interest in reporting to the city council on viability & importance of bio-composting sewage sludge.

C. Stuart to report on acquiring cardboard bailer from Southwest Solid Waste.

D. Examine any new information on breakdown of what type of materials go into the landfill & related potential costs savings.

E. RE. Public education, Corrine to report on outreach to schools.

F. Member reports on any information obtained on other items discussed at last meeting.

New Business

A. Should Silver City use information from the EPA's website as a blueprint to inform Silver City's Reuse and Recycling endeavors?

B. Update on New Mexico's Solid Waste Management Plan

C. Update from Silver City Recycles
