I am a long time resident of 34 years in Grant Co. I have deep roots in our community. My wife of 26 years is also a native of Grant county. I attended college here from 1984 to 1986. I left college to enter the workforce. I started my law enforcement career in 1989 when I joined the Socorro Co. Sheriff department. I soon joined the New Mexico state Police and was fortunate to be stationed here in Grant Co. where I spent my whole career. I retired as a Sergeant in 2010.

In 2011 I took the job as Chief of Police for the Village of Santa Clara where I am still today. As Chief for Santa Clara we received the Safe Cities award in New Mexico. Something that has never been done before. I also received recognition for our support in the Trout fire which occurred last year. As chief I have worked with budgets, Grants and balancing of budgets. I have been involved with the youth for many years. I was a little league umpire, I coached Pop warner Football, Baseball and wrestling. I also coached at the higher level and coached Varsity baseball at Silver High School.

I am running for County Commissioner because I want to improve the quality of life for everyone in Grant Co. no matter what party you belong to. I want to use my years of experience and my leadership skills to my home, Grant Co. a great place to live. My priorities are Gila Regional Hospital. I want to continue to work with the CEO of the hospital to bring in more providers and specialists for our citizens. Our seniors' needs need to be addressed and better taken care of and not forgotten. Mental behavioral health problems which are on the rise, need to be addressed and finding solutions on how to help these individuals and their families.

Our youth need programs for after school to keep them occupied and hopefully teach them some skills to use in life. I would like to partner with the schools and see if we can get some life skills implemented in schools to give our Youth a chance to have a trait when they graduate. Not all kids go to college.

My goal as commissioner if elected is to support and try and attract small businesses. Support and maintain the things that make Grant County such a great place to live. Our hospital, NMWU, or Veterans and our Seniors. I will work with our employees of Grant Co., who keep us all going.

I will be accessible, transparent and accountable. I will be a strong voice for our County. I will do my best to enhance everyone's quality of life in Grant County is better. I will be Honored to earn your Vote.
