WaddingtonBrosThe Grant County Community Concert Association presents The Waddington Brothers, a Bluegrass and western music band, Thursday, March 5 in the WNMU Fine Arts Theater at 7 PM.

The Waddington Brothers, a band of four brothers from rural North Dakota, perform what they live: a mixture of traditional bluegrass, gospel music, and Western strains reminiscent of The Sons of the Pioneers.

Seth, Ethan, Jacob, and Job Waddington skillfully blend cowboy and bluegrass music with their rich, vocal harmonies and instrumental versatility. From hard-driving bluegrass to more mellow acoustic tones, this quartet has developed a sound that is truly as strong as it is special.

While their performing experience together traces back to 2004, the band officially came together as The Waddington Brothers in 2019. Their sound is a breath of fresh air to their audiences.  In 2023 they took first place in the International Bluegrass Band Competition at the annual SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

Individual tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Pink Store on Bullard, on-line at www.gcconcerts.org  or at the door the night of the concert. Children up to age 17 are admitted free of charge.

Thank you to this concert and educational outreach sponsors: Freeport MacMoRan, Kiwanis, and Creative West.
