Silver City, NM — August 26th& 27th , 2026 — Community Partnership for Children (CPC) is proud to announce two upcoming training events designed to increase community understanding, improve professional practices, and strengthen support systems for individuals with Neurodivergence and their families. These events, developed in direct response to community needs, will equip emergency responders, medical personnel, educators, caregivers, and service providers with evidence based tools and practical strategies that can be used immediately in real world settings.
Emergency & Medical Professionals Neurodivergent Response Training — August 28th, 2026
Following in depth conversations with families and local professionals, CPC identified a significant need for specialized training for emergency and medical responders who frequently support individuals with neurodivergent needs in high stress situations. In response, CPC developed an additional one-day training that is conducted in two separate sessions to accommodate professionals' schedules.
EMTs and Paramedics Emergency Room Staff Nurses and Physicians Firefighters and Law Enforcement Other Medical and Emergency Personnel
This interactive workshop focuses on trauma informed response, sensory aware practices, de escalation strategies, and communication techniques that help reduce fear and trauma during emergency encounters. The goal is to ensure safer, more compassionate, and more effective care for individuals and their families.
Two session options are available:

Location: Grant County Verterans Memorial Business & Confrence Center
Cost: $20 per participant. Parents attend free with a valid coupon. Please contact CPC to obtain a parent coupon. Funds raised will support facilitator travel, training materials, and professional compensation for the trainer. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals, businesses, or organizations interested in supporting this initiative and expanding access for families.

Building Bridges Together: Neurodivergent Workshop — August 26th & 27th, 2026
CPC will host Building Bridges Together, two full day community workshop bringing together families, educators, early childhood professionals, therapists, and community partners. This interactive event is designed to promote collaboration across home, school, and community settings while offering families and professionals hands on tools to support children.

Participants will engage in evidence based sessions on communication, visual supports, literacy, and daily routines, along with four "Make & Take" workshops where they will create real tools such as conversation bags, visual schedules, and choice boards. All materials are provided.
