LisaJimenezSilver City -- The aging process offers many gifts and challenges, and an individual's perspective on this natural part of the human experience has a tremendous impact on one's quality of life as they grow older. How to navigate this process gracefully is the topic of the next Death Cafe, a free, monthly opportunity for the public to join together to discuss any and all topics related to death, dying ... and aging.

"Graceful aging is something that we all strive for, I believe, but how to do it well is a key question,"  said Lisa Jimenez, certified death doula and owner of A Good Death, LLC. "We'll go beyond physical health and wellness and explore how our attitudes, beliefs and social conditioning all impact our personal aging process. Themes such as feelings of invisibility, shifting life purpose, loss and loneliness are all up for discussion, along with the gifts of aging, which there are many. I expect our discussion will be a very rich one."

Everyone is welcome at the Death Cafe, which meets from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the Silver City Public Library, 515 W. College Avenue, in historic, downtown Silver City. The Death Cafe offers a safe space for discussing and learning about topics related to death and dying.
