Silver City, NM, April 29, 2026---Kendra Milligan, Loretta Marrufo and Bill Null, leaders of the local branch of Tree New Mexico, will speak at the May 5th PFLAG meeting, 6:00 PM, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3845 N. Swan. Light refreshments will be served, and the public is invited.
Tree New Mexico is a nonprofit focused on urban forestry, and plants free trees in homeowners' front yards to shade sidewalks and decrease the heat island effect from roadways. In April, Tree New Mexico hosted its inaugural planting in the Silver Heights neighborhood. Meeting attendees will learn about the upcoming planting on May 30th and find out how they can volunteer to plant 50 more trees or register for the free classes on tree care and planting scheduled for June.
