CHOLLA BOLLA Ceremonial Burning – Sunset/Dark
Celebrate the Equinox and Cholla Bolla – Zozobra has been a long-standing tradition in Northern New Mexico, and we thought it was time the Southwest corner of the state created its own tradition. We are excited to host the 2nd Annual Burning of an Effigy, created with intentions of hope and healing. Each year will be a slightly different focus. The community will be invited to write their wishes and intentions on pieces of paper that will be offered into the heart of the Effigy and then burned during the Autumn Equinox – the Balance of Light and Dark – a ritualistic event where "Cholla Bolla" is set ablaze, symbolizing renewal and a fresh start.
Betty Benedeadly serves up twang-edelic, foot-stompin, banjitar-driven arrangements that explore spaghetti westerns, experimental folk, indie bluegrass, surf & roots rock.
All proceeds go to paying the Performers and Supporting Live Music.
