Ground Truthing is an exhibition by Artist-in-Residence Claire Fall Blanchette. Working across sculpture, printmaking, and drawing, Blanchette incorporates organic materials such as fungal networks, microbial films, and locally sourced rock to examine the relationship between humans and the natural world.
Through site-specific research in the Silver City region, the exhibition explores the impact of industrial history alongside processes of ecological repair. Ground Truthing invites viewers to reconsider how we relate to the land and imagine more symbiotic futures.

Julia Keefe – The Mildred Bailey Project
Tuesday, March 24
Light Hall Theater
7PM
$20
The Mildred Bailey Project, led by vocalist Julia Keefe, honors Mildred Bailey — the Native American singer who became the first female vocalist to perform with a big band in the early 1930s.
A groundbreaking figure in American jazz, Bailey opened doors for singers such as Billie Holiday, Helen Ward, and Ella Fitzgerald. In 1944, Time Magazine described her as "just about the greatest songbird in the U.S."
Through this tribute concert, Julia Keefe celebrates Bailey's lasting impact on jazz history, highlighting the artistry and legacy of one of America's pioneering female vocalists.
