Lucy Saiz Torres, 76, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at her residence in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was born on March 15, 1950, to Albert Saiz and Guadalupe Galindo.
Lucy Saiz Torres, the strongest and most beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and devoted believer in Christ, leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will never fade. Lucy truly embodied kindness, unconditional love, unwavering support, trustworthiness, and deep faith.
She shared a beautiful marriage with her beloved husband, Felix, for 55 years—a love story that many looked up to and admired. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, joy, and deep connection. They loved to laugh, play pranks on each other and their children, and spend warm summer nights on the porch enjoying cold watermelon—simple moments that became cherished memories.

Gary Gene Tippins, 86, Deming resident passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at his home. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.

Frieda Norris Welburn passed away April 7, 2026 at her home, surrounded by all 5 of her children, Laura, Clinton, Frances, Daniel, and Darrel. She also had 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She was born August 2nd, 1932, in the 6th Street hospital in Silver City NM. She was raised on the family ranch up Sycamore canyon outside of Cliff NM. She attended school at Cliff NM, from 1938 until her graduation as valedictorian in 1950. Her Duroc pig won champion at the state fair that same year. She was attending school at the time so a young boy named Roland Rice showed her pig for her.
From the time she was a little girl, Frieda loved cats, and would often sneak them into the house against her mother's wishes. After high school Frieda attended the newly renamed New Mexico Western College, where she earned her teaching degree. During her junior year, she met Wayne Welburn, who graduated with a teaching degree in 1954. They married on June 7, 1955, in the 6th Street Baptist church in Silver City. The young couple then moved to the small farming town of Alamo, Nevada, where Frieda taught Home Economics, and Wayne taught shop. They established the Pahranagat Valley Credit Union during that time. They moved to North Las Vegas, NV, in 1959, and remained there for the next 44 years.

Margarita "Mague" como era conocida nacio el dia 1 de Enero de 1949, hija de Carmen Nieto y Ricardo Jimenez en Meoqui, Chihuahua. A Mague le gustaba pasar tiempo con su familia, viajar y cuidar de su jardin especialmente regar sus "rosales".
A Mague le sobreviven sus hijos, Ricardo (Amy) y Efrain Escarcega; sus hijas, Blanca, Eidy y Elizabeth Escarcega; 7 nietos y 2 bisnietos; sus hermanas, Trinidad Rincon, Carmen Jimenez y Juanita (Servando) Hernandez, varios sobrinos, sobrinas y amigos.
