Labor Day weekend.  There is a special event planned for Sunday at noon with a Dance Group called "The Pachucos" from El Paso, TX.  Gough Park will be enclosed and there of course will be the street closures with Security.  We will have both food and non-food vendors and a Beer Garden.  As a reminder per City Ordinance, only service dogs will be allowed and no bikes (bicycles) or skateboards will be allowed.

Tai Chi is an evidence-based movement practice that improves strength, balance and well-being. This particular form was created at the University of Oregon to address the specific needs of older adults and others with poor balance and diminished strength. The form itself consists of only 8 basic movements, which are gentle and relaxing. We also do breath work (Qi Kung), stretching, and other movements to enhance general health. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes (like tennis shoes).

The mission of the Commons is to meet the immediate needs of Grant County residents who are food insecure and strive to build community around the concepts of food justice, local self-sufficiency and sustainability. The Commons staff and dedicated community volunteers organize and support Grant County Food Pantry programs in Silver City, Santa Clara, and Cliff, including emergency food box delivery.
